This is a role well suited to an ambitious graduate, looking for the next step in their career as a Graduate Electrical Electronic Engineer.
You will be part of the team involved in the design and manufacturing of Medical Device Instruments. You will be working on complex medical device instruments including immunoassay, chemistry, and hematology to serve the needs of laboratories of any size – today and tomorrow.
The successful candidate will work on instruments that use multiple technologies to deliver patient results. This involves mechanical, electronic, software, fluidics, and chemistry. Involving various sub-assemblies that for example, aspirate patient samples, complete mixing operations, store reagent and complete all handling operations of samples around different parts of the instrument. You will gain experience across different technologies and how they integrate.
The Critical Skills Required.
- An energetic Electrical Electronic Graduate Engineer willing to learn
- A good background knowledge of electromechanical systems
- Has some basic software experience (C, C#, python)
- Has knowledge of motion control (Servo, Steppers)
- Good electronic knowledge (analog, digital and microcontrollers)
- Hardware debugging using oscilloscopes/ logic analysers and multimeters
- Experience of simulation and modelling – SPICE, LT spice or similar tools
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical discipline (Electronics / Software / Electrical / Mechatronic Engineering)
- Can develop very Strong Mechanical / Electromechanical / systems level thinking to understand how different technologies operate together.
- Problem solving – analytical thinking and structure debugging approach
- Willingness to learn new tools, technologies and methodologies
