Data Analyst
- Dublin – hybrid
- 11 months contract
- Salary: €80,000 - €87,000/annum pro rata doe
Our client – a U.S.-based enterprise software company that provides cloud applications for finance, HR, and planning – is looking for a Data Analyst, focused on reporting, with a passion for learning, helping business partners, report design and data analysis. This role will work first hand with the Accounting organization to enhance their processes with Automation and Data Science.
The ideal candidate brings a thorough understanding of data modeling, reporting frameworks and has the ability to drive processes improvement strategies, and solution.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal partners to: identify, define, and clarify business requirements; translating needs into efficient reports and configurations that conform to standard methodologies and provide data driven insights.
- Utilize datasets to investigate key business trends, performance, issues, behaviors, and metrics
- Build organization-wide relationships to move initiatives forward and position ideas to enhance the likelihood of success.
- Develop technical expertise in various technologies, including but not limited to, the reporting and analytics framework and security framework.
- Demonstrate business knowledge and expertise to uncover process gaps and work multi-functionally to formulate plans to improve support models.
- Participate in the organizational change and launch support processes.
- Facilitate review sessions with functional owners, domain specialists and end-user representatives.
- Coordinate and perform system testing to ensure requirements are met.
- Work closely with the project team during user acceptance testing (UAT); including tracking issues through to resolution and securing end user acceptance signoff.
- Contribute to documentation, QA, and organization of our analytics tooling.
Requirements:
- Strong data analysis and data modeling skills, ability to interpret, structure, and visualize complex datasets.
- Experience integrating and analyzing data from multiple sources (Workday and other applications, experience in Workday reporting and analytics tools is beneficial.)
- Knowledge of process improvement and automation within financial or accounting workflows.
- Experience with system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT), including issue tracking and validation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills — ability to translate business needs into reporting solutions.
