Lead SAP CAP Java Developer

Responsibilities

• Design RESTful APIs using SAP CAP on Java and Spring Boot
• Develop backend services with Java and SAP Business Technology Platform
• Apply Domain-Driven Design methodologies in development
• Lead technical initiatives and drive improvements within the team
• Review code and enforce coding standards
• Employ DevOps tools like Jenkins for continuous integration and delivery
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to produce high-quality software
• Ensure comprehensive testing and dependable release cycles
• Engage in agile workflows including test-driven development
• Manage source control and oversee build processes
• Support deployment and monitor applications on SAP HANA Cloud
• Document development workflows and technical specifications
• Diagnose and resolve software defects and issues

Requirements

• Proficient Java backend development skills with over 5 years of experience
• Experience with SAP CAP Framework and Java integration
• Practical knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform
• Strong understanding of Spring Boot and related tools
• Experience implementing REST APIs including OData
• Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design concepts
• Ability to independently lead technical initiatives
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins
• Knowledge of modern software engineering practices including code reviews and testing
• Understanding of agile methodologies including TDD and continuous integration
• Skilled in source control management
• Experience with build and release management
• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
• English proficiency at B2 level or above

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SAP cloud services and products
• Experience with SAPUI5 for frontend development
• Familiarity with SAP HANA Cloud platform
