Freelance Backend Golang Developer (full time)

Our client is building a modern, cloud-native platform from the ground up — designed for high scalability, performance, and reliability.

As a Senior Golang Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing microservices within a distributed, high-traffic environment.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services written in Golang
• Work on microservices architecture using REST, gRPC, Pub/Sub, and Kafka
• Optimize PostgreSQL and SQL queries for high performance
• Build and deploy services using Docker, Kubernetes, and GCP/AWS
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of systems
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and maintain strong test coverage
• Implement monitoring and observability practices (DataDog, NewRelic, or similar)
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across different locations

✅ Key Requirements

Technical Skills:

• 5+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer, including at least 3 years with Golang
• 5+ years of experience as a Golang developer
• Hands-on experience with microservices, high-load, or 24/7 systems
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Proficiency with Postgres, SQL, and query optimization
• Experience in cloud environments (GCP or AWS)
• Practical understanding of monitoring, observability, and fault tolerance
• Strong focus on writing maintainable and well-tested code
