Job Responsibilities;
- Research, analyze and develop signal detection algorithms for use in metal detectors
- Study patents and papers related to detection technologies
- Simulate detection algorithms in Python
- Develop real-time Digital Signal Processing (DSP) software to implement algorithms on embedded processors
- Develop software for collecting and analyzing measurements of detectors in the lab and the field using Python, PyQt5 or QT.
- Test algorithms in the lab and/or the field
- Investigate, debug, and modify existing code
- Prepare documentation, test plans and test reports for detection algorithms and relevant software
Qualifications;
- BS or MS in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Telecommunication Engineering
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in DSP
- Solid understanding of and practical experience on signal processing theory and techniques, such as detection, filtering, estimation, compression, modulation, demodulation
- Experience in real-time detection and classification problems
- Familiarity with time-series data and relevant analysis techniques
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Python and real-time C programming languages
Nice to have;
- PhD degree on DSP, remote sensing, radar signal processing or related field
- Understanding of electromagnetism and electromagnetic induction theory
- Experience with microcontroller IDE design & development tools
- Experience with ST, Renesas, Microchip, TI or similar processor platforms
- Experience with real-time kernels and/or operating systems
- Experience with MATLAB or QT
- Experience with Machine Learning
- Familiarity with software development practices
