Product Owner

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with strong expertise in the Banking and Open Finance domain to lead the design, development, and delivery of innovative financial products and APIs. The ideal candidate will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, regulatory teams, and technical squads to define and deliver value-driven Open Finance capabilities that enhance customer experience, data sharing, and ecosystem integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the Open Finance product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business strategy, regulatory mandates (e.g., PSD2, Open Banking, CDR), and customer needs.
• Define and prioritize the product backlog, translating high-level business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, architecture, compliance, and UX/UI teams to deliver secure, scalable, and regulatory-compliant Open Finance solutions.
• Partner with external ecosystem participants (fintechs, aggregators, third-party providers) to drive partnerships, integration, and interoperability.
• Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies (e.g., APIs, data privacy frameworks, consent management, open data).
• Ensure seamless API governance, security, and customer consent management across all Open Finance initiatives.
• Manage KPIs and product performance metrics, leveraging analytics and user feedback to iterate on the product roadmap.
• Lead agile ceremonies (backlog grooming, sprint planning, demos) and act as the primary decision-maker for product-related matters.
• Drive regulatory compliance and alignment with frameworks such as Open Banking, Open Finance, ISO 20022, and local data protection regulations.

Required Skills and Experience

• 7+ years of experience in digital product management within Banking, Fintech, or Financial Services.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in Open Banking/Open Finance, API product management, or data-sharing ecosystems.
• Strong understanding of banking APIs, API gateways, OAuth2, consent management, and data exchange standards.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as PSD2 (EU), CDR (Australia), OBIE (UK), or similar open finance regimes.
• Proven experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate business strategy into actionable technical requirements.
