Role Overview

Justice Technology Services – Digital Design Branch requires senior software developers (8+ years’ experience) to design, develop, and support a modern, cloud-based digital information system integrated with internal and external applications.

You’ll participate in full-cycle development — from design to deployment — and collaborate closely with technical teams, testers, and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop web and cloud-based applications using Microsoft .NET and Azure technologies.
  • Integrate applications with internal and external systems.
  • Provide application and production support.
  • Prepare deployment packages and documentation for Dev, UAT, and Production environments.
  • Support QA teams during system and UAT testing.
  • Conduct knowledge transfer and maintain technical documentation.

Mandatory Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using Microsoft .NET Framework.
  • Proven expertise in developing web-based B2B/B2C applications in client/server environments.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (installation, configuration, customization, deployment, troubleshooting, production support).
  • Development expertise in C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, MVC, WPF, WCF, and Windows/Web Services.
  • Proficiency with SQL Server (2005/2008/2012), stored procedures, and database design.
  • Front-end skills: HTML, XML, XSLT, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS.
  • Experience with Visual Studio (2010–2019) and Microsoft IIS (7.0/8.0).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, and data migration/reporting tools is an asset.
