Mobile / Frontend Engineer (Android) – Data Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile / Frontend Engineer (Android) with a strong background in data-driven solution development and project delivery management. This role involves understanding business needs, driving technical discussions, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful end-to-end delivery of digital banking projects within scope, time, and budget.

Job Responsibilities

Project Management & Delivery

• Translate business requirements into technical solutions aligned with project objectives.
• Develop, review, and update project plans, resource allocations, budgets, and timelines.
• Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, including developers and technical analysts, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Manage project execution from design to delivery, ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate appropriately when necessary.
• Ensure project deliverables meet audit, SDM, and governance standards, including mandatory documentation and sign-offs.

Technical Leadership

• Drive solution architecture and design discussions with vendors, technology teams, and user groups.
• Collaborate with solution and enterprise architects to introduce and implement innovative technical solutions.
• Plan and oversee system upgrades, enhancements, and maintenance to ensure stable and scalable performance.
• Define and execute testing strategies; oversee testing cycles to ensure timely resolution of high and critical defects.

Stakeholder & Relationship Management

• Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders, managing expectations, conflicts, and scope changes effectively.
• Facilitate and lead governance meetings; prepare and present project updates and reports (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly) via Jira, Confluence, and presentation decks.
• Manage relationships across multiple business units, technical teams, and external vendors to ensure cohesive project execution.
• Provide coverage and support to program/project leads for portfolio-level governance and related tasks.

Financial & Administrative Management

• Track and manage project finances, ensuring expenditures align with approved budgets and Group Finance guidelines.
• Support administrative and governance processes, including budget management, resource tracking (PPM), ITC deck preparation, and audit documentation.
• Ensure all financial and operational reports are delivered accurately and on time.

Team Leadership & Coordination

• Direct and support offshore squads in daily operations, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
• Ensure clear communication, alignment, and accountability across all workstreams.
• Promote best practices in software engineering, agile delivery, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience in Android mobile development, frontend engineering, or data-driven application development.
• Strong background in technical project management and stakeholder coordination within banking or financial services.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, Jira, Confluence, and SDLC/SDM frameworks.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Experience managing offshore or distributed development teams is a plus.
