Central Bank of Oman is seeking to Recruit Competent, Committed, Self-motivated and Enthusiastic Omani Candidate as Associate Project Manager.


Job Purpose

The Associate Project Manager supports the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic and operational projects within the Central Bank. The role ensures that assigned projects are completed on time, within scope, and in alignment with institutional objectives, governance standards, and regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage projects to ensure alignment with the Bank’s strategic objectives and priorities.
  • Develop and maintain project charters, project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Monitor project performance and provide regular reports on progress, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with the Bank’s project governance framework, policies, and documentation standards.
  • Prepare and present project reports, dashboards, and recommendations to steering committees and senior management.
  • Oversee and monitor project risk management activities, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and tracking.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and document lessons learned to enhance project management practices.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4 years of relevant experience in project management.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CAPM, PRINCE2 Foundation, PMP) is an advantage.


Skills & Competencies

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing abilities in both English and Arabic.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., MS Project or equivalent).
  • Good understanding of financial sector operations and project governance principles.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Demonstrated teamwork, adaptability, and proactive attitude in a dynamic institutional environment.
