Software Engineer

Salary to £42,000 per annum

Based full time working in Central Brighton office

Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm

My client is a long-established UK software company that’s been building a specialist ERP Software platform for the UK construction industry since the 1980s helping manufacturers and processors streamline quoting, production, and business management.

You would be joining a small, friendly and mature development team, working on Windows-based applications built in C++ that are used daily by companies across the UK and internationally. This is a sophisticated software suite that provides users with advanced product design capabilities and manages all the QA and manufacturing process from this one application.

This role will be working in a close-knit team of developers maintaining the existing software and building new functionality for the core platform creating specialist software applications for the UK and European manufacturing industry.

Skills and experience:

• You’ll need experience of developing software applications using C++
• Some knowledge of Delphi and/or C would be useful but is not essential
• Ideally building C++ applications on Windows or if not on Unix/Linux environments
• Experience of building C++ software using Embaracadero C++ Builder, Visual Studio, Codelite, Code::Blocks or similar IDE
• MS SQL Server experience or similar SQL Database is required
• Git Hub experience preferred
• Experience of CAD-type applications would be useful but not essential.
