Your Location: Hybrid/Brazil HQ address - Nações Unidas 12901 - São Paulo - SP (required to go to the office two days a week)

You Report To: Senior Manager, Risk Data Science

Your compensation: A starting salary of $18,000 BRL or more, depending upon experience

What you will do:

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Design, develop, and implement machine learning models to solve complex business problems such as risk prediction, customer segmentation, and process optimization.
  • Collaborate with engineering, data team, and business stakeholders to define project objectives, success metrics, and data requirements.
  • Clean, preprocess, and transform large and complex datasets for model training and validation.
  • Develop and maintain scalable machine learning pipelines for training, testing, and deployment in production environments.
  • Optimize model performance through feature engineering, hyperparameter tuning, and validation techniques.
  • Integrate machine learning solutions into existing applications and systems using APIs or microservices.
  • Monitor, maintain, and improve models post-deployment to ensure accuracy and business relevance.
  • Document technical processes and communicate findings and results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies in AI and machine learning.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field required.
  • 5+ years of professional Machine Learning or Model development experience.
  • Demonstrated historical career stability.
  • Solid foundation in computer science, mathematics, statistics, and data science/business analytics.
  • Highly tactical and hands-on contributor with strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and machine learning/deep learning frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and deploy models independently; requires minimal guidance or supervision.
  • Strong programming and modeling skills with a focus on real-world application and scalability.
  • Experience in model development, including feature engineering, training, validation, and performance tuning.
  • Exposure to model deployment in production environments (e.g., APIs, cloud platforms, MLOps pipelines).
  • Analytical thinker with a structured approach to problem-solving and data exploration.
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and complex business problems.
  • Strong communication skills to translate technical insights into actionable business recommendations.
