About the role:
Unifying our customer experience across physical and digital channels, our Digital team build and deliver products where technology meets our customers – web, app, and retail.
As a Mobile Engineer, iOS you’ll be a part of a team who owns the Ampol app customer experience. You’ll work closely with business users and team members in the broader TDD team to ensure our solutions are reliable, effective, and meet business needs, as well as being an awesome experience for our customers.
You’ll take us further by:
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and determine the best mobile development techniques and frameworks to deliver user-centric solutions.
- Develop and maintain iOS applications, ensuring clean, efficient code and smooth user experiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate internal and external data sources and APIs into mobile applications.
- Utilize modern iOS development tools, languages, and frameworks to meet project objectives and adhere to coding and design standards.
- Continuously test, debug, and refine mobile applications to optimize performance and address user needs.
- Document coding practices, processes, and application structures for ease of collaboration and future development.
We’d love it if you have:
- Proven expertise in developing iOS applications using SwiftUI, Combine
- Solid experience with mobile app architecture and lifecycle management. Desirable:
- Experience deploying iOS apps to production, including handling updates and maintenance.
- Experience shaping technical solutions to meet business needs and enhance commercial outcomes.
- Expertise in iOS development (Swift, SwiftUI), as well as tools such as Xcode, CocoaPods, and version control (e.g., Git).
- Proficiency in designing, developing, and optimizing iOS applications for various devices and screen sizes (iPhone, iPad, etc.).
- Experience with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and integrating services.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and mobile-specific principles.
- Experience with mobile testing tools and frameworks (XCTest, UI Testing).
