Derwent Search is a leading Australian executive search firm specialising in senior-level and C-suite placements across Australia. We are currently seeking an experienced HR Adviser to join our Sydney team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the HR function of a dynamic, growing organisation within the executive search industry. You will play a key role in supporting our workforce of talented recruitment professionals whilst contributing to strategic HR initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive HR advisory support to managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes to ensure seamless integration of new team members
- Advise on employee relations matters, performance management, and disciplinary processes in line with Fair Work Act requirements
- Support the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and workplace initiatives
- Maintain HR systems and ensure accurate employee records and documentation
- Contribute to workplace wellness programs and employee engagement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with Australian employment legislation, WHS requirements, and SafeWork NSW regulations
- Support organisational change initiatives and continuous improvement projects
- Manage HR reporting and analytics to inform decision-making
Essential:
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a generalist HR role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport at all levels
- High level of discretion, confidentiality, and professional judgement
- Proficiency with HR systems (experience with Employment Hero highly regarded)
- Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
