PHP Developer

We are seeking an experienced PHP Developer to support the refactoring and enhancement of an existing legacy product, as well as assist in the transition to a modern next-generation platform. This role involves working on PHP-based solutions, resolving performance issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams on new features and architectural improvements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, refactor, and enhance the legacy product built on PHP (Sugar/SuiteCRM) and Java
• Address performance bottlenecks and stability issues, propose and implement architecture improvements
• Contribute to the development of new product features by collaborating with Solution Architects, Product Owners, and other technical teams
• Customize and adapt solutions for new client onboarding and requirements
• Partner with teams working on the new next-generation platform built in .NET and contribute insights to their roadmap
• Collaborate with offshore teams and external vendors to ensure seamless development and support
• Provide recommendations on architectural best practices and design improvements
• Facilitate future migration plans, including transitioning from AWS to Azure environments
• Advocate for clean, maintainable solutions while adhering to project deadlines and quality standards
• Engage in code reviews, adhering to CI/CD workflows

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in PHP development
• Experience in OPCACHE/APC and PHP linting tools
• Expertise in MySQL, including strong understanding of transactions, ACID principles, and performance optimization using slow logs
• Skills in profiling and debugging tools such as xDebug and refactoring legacy codebases with tools like xhProof
• Familiarity with Redis/Memcache and Docker (intermediate proficiency)
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and code review processes
• Knowledge of i18n and l10n implementation within PHP applications
• Understanding and experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• English level B1+ for effective communication

• Familiarity with .NET technologies and modern platform development practices
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and its application in cloud migration
• Expertise in profiling, performance debugging, and optimization tools
• Background in customizing and working with SugarCRM systems
