Embedded Software Engineer

Embedded Software Engineer – Leuven – 12 months+

My client, a company working in the manufacturing industry, is currently searching for a FREELANCE Embedded Software Engineer for an R&D project related to IoT expected to last for a minimum of 12 months.

Responsibilities:

• Software design and documentation
• Implementation of the code onto the hardware
• Unit testing and debugging
• Module testing of the full product
• Reporting back to project manager including any advise on amendments to the architecture

Experience:

• Extensive experience with programming in C/C++ for embedded systems, specifically for embedded Linux
• Good knowledge of ethernet switching and IP routing (communication protocols)
• Experience working on custom ICs
• Any experience with git-based repositories is a strong plus
• Must be fluent English speaking and able to do on-site work in Leuven in a hybrid model

Start date: ASAP

Duration: 12 months+
