In this role, you contribute to solutions for clients in telecom, industrial automation, video/audio processing, and IoT. You will be involved in all phases of the development process – from analysis and design to implementation, testing, and documentation. Thanks to long-term projects, you will have the opportunity to dive deep and work with cutting-edge technology.
What excites you as a Linux Software Engineer?
Based from one of our offices in Belgium and in average 3 days per week at our clients' office you like to keep yourself busy with:
- Developing embedded Linux platforms, device drivers, and applications (Yocto, U-Boot, Buildroot).
- Working with multithreaded systems, C/C++ development, and Python scripting.
- Integration with hardware, cloud platforms, and network protocols (TCP/IP, VoIP, XMPP).
- Use of container technologies (Docker, LXC, Kubernetes).
- Managing build and CI/CD systems (Git, Jenkins).
- Optimizing real-time performance and resource usage.
- Applying modern development methodologies such as Agile/Scrum, DevOps, and test automation.
This is what you bring to the table
- Bachelor or Master degree in software engineering, electronics, or computer science.
- Solid knowledge of (embedded) Linux and experience with technical software development.
- Strong in C or C++, and familiar with Python for scripting and testing.
- Familiar with open-source tools like Yocto, OpenWRT, or Qt.
- Quality-focused with solid testing skills and debugging experience.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
