Far-site (REMOTE) work within EU territory only.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

In accordance with the Service Requirements and Service Level Agreement, Contractor’s candidates must be fluent in English. French is an asset. Documents will be written in English.

• Knowledge of web technologies, frameworks and standards such as HTML/HTML5, Javascript, CSS.
• Knowledge of jQuery development, W3C, accessibility, SEO, Angular.
• Knowledge of UX design best practices.
• Knowledge of Web/Visual design.
• Knowledge of the SVN version control.
• Ability to cope with fast-changing technologies used in visual design.
• Provision of operational support.
• Knowledge of Git
• Experience in agile development environments

DESCRIPTION OF THE TASKS

Following tasks will be performed by external service provider:

• Improvements of existing the networks’ websites features in consultation with the entities appointed by the Commission's services;
• On the basis of established or to be established specifications, implement suitable and agreed developments with the objective that existing and additional part(s) of the website do become quickly operational;
• Reuse, when possible, know-how, solutions and code already applied to existing projects (e.g. ENRD, EIP-AGRI websites);
• Team leadership: Meetings organisation and planning with the entities appointed by the Commission’s services, weekly progress meetings, documenting the weekly progress meetings, and if needed, reporting to other stakeholders.
• Front-end development of responsive UI solutions following good coding practices, including creation/correction of CSS and transforming mock-ups into semantic HTML and development of innovative solutions for different platforms as well as integration with DBs or other server-side logic
• Development of UX/UI design
• Documentation of code, ensuring easy maintenance & evolution
• Optimization of application for maximum performance and scalability
