Full-timeEngineering

We’re building a mobile-first music game where players and artists create real songs inside the world. We’re looking for an Audio Programmer to design and implement music-making tools and audio processing that feel “plug-and-play” for users—think vocal recording with instant polish (autotune, compression, EQ), drum/track sequencing, and smart automation.

Some features will run inside Unreal (MetaSounds), others as standalone plugins that integrate into our system. You’ll be the audio specialist in a small, senior team (currently 4 people) shipping an MVP in ~6 months toward an H2 launch.

What you’ll do

  • Build real-time audio processing and music-creation features (vocal FX chains, pitch correction, dynamics, EQ, time/pitch tools, sequencers).
  • Develop VST-style plugins and/or JUCE-based components; integrate with Unreal Engine (MetaSounds) where it makes sense.
  • Make complex audio workflows dead-simple for non-experts via sensible defaults and automation.
  • Collaborate closely with our Unreal developer and technical artist; prototype fast, iterate, and ship.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong audio-DSP and real-time programming skills in C++.
  • Experience building audio plugins/tools (e.g., VST3/AU, JUCE) and profiling for low latency.
  • Product sense for UX in creator tools; ability to work independently in a startup environment.
  • Nice to have: Unreal Engine (C++/Blueprints) and MetaSounds; mobile audio (iOS/Android); familiarity with rap/hip-hop production workflows.

Benefits

Setup & offer

  • Onsite in central Helsinki.
  • Funded startup with stock options.
  • Salary depends on experience; benchmark ~€4–5k/month, with flexibility to discuss up to ~€6k for an exceptional senior candidate.

If this sounds like you, we’d love to see examples of audio tools/plugins you’ve shipped (demos or repos welcome).
