Aplite is a boutique IT security consultancy based in Berlin. We help companies across different industries stay secure and compliant. Our work covers security advisory, hands-on assessments, security automation, and research. 

The role 

We're looking for a Security Consultant who enjoys working across Cloud, DevSecOps, and application security. 

In this role, you'll assess, design, and improve the security of our clients' environments, from Cloud and CI/CD pipelines to applications and internal processes. You'll also define security policies, automate controls, and turn risks into clear and practical mitigation guidance. 

You should be based in Berlin and have a valid residence or work permit for Germany. 

Your responsibilities:  

• Run technical security assessments across Cloud, CI/CD, and application 
• Identify issues, get to the root cause, and recommend pragmatic solutions 
• Design and automate security controls in pipelines and Cloud setups 
• Create or improve policies, standards, and security baselines for clients 
• Work closely with engineering teams to make security part of their everyday workflow

What we're looking for: 

• 2+ years of experience in IT security 
• Familiarity with security frameworks like OWASP, CIS, NIST 
• Solid understanding of Cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure), infrastructure, and Kubernetes security 
• Good grasp of CI/CD and DevSecOps practices 
• Experience with application security and common web vulnerabilities 
• Proficiency in Python and Terraform 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with great attention to detail 
• Ability to turn technical insights into clear policies, guidelines, and standards 
• Fluent in English

Nice to have:

• Certifications like OSCP, AWS/GCP Security Engineer, or other relevant credentials
• Experience with GRC 
• Proficiency in German language
