Job Title: Senior Backend Developer – Finance / Payment Systems

Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid – 3 days onsite/week)

Contract Type: 6-Month Rolling Contract

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable backend systems for financial applications. The role involves API development, microservices, and data management for payment and financial solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices
• Develop and optimize SQL & NoSQL databases
• Integrate with financial systems and payment platforms
• Ensure security, compliance, and performance of backend systems
• Collaborate with frontend teams, product managers, and stakeholders
• Participate in unit/integration testing and code reviews

Required Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Java, Node.js, or Python
• Experience with SQL & NoSQL databases
• Proven experience in API & microservices development
• Knowledge of financial systems, card/payment processing, and security best practices
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
