What You’ll Do
As an Infra Engineer, you'll ensure the performance, security, and reliability of our infrastructure. You’ll work closely with your team to maintain and evolve our network, virtual platforms, and systems that support all of Nutsgroep. You’ll also actively contribute to Scrum rituals and help drive technical improvement.
You’ll become part of a high-performing team responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of our core network and infrastructure environment. Together, we build the backbone that supports all of business-critical systems. If you're ready to lead, inspire, and innovate, this is your chance. Your Responsibilities
- Maintaining and upgrading network hardware (switches, routers, firewalls, WiFi)
- Managing virtual environments (VMware, AWS, Azure)
- Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues
- Handling incident and change management (including patching)
- Implementing and maintaining security measures
- Supporting internal teams with technical guidance
- Exploring containerisation technologies (e.g., Kubernetes)
- Ensuring infrastructure documentation is up to date
- Recommending and implementing innovations that improve performance and reliability
- A Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field
- 5+ years of IT experience, with at least 3 years in networking
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and firewalls
- Familiarity with Microsoft, Linux, and ESXi systems
- Hands-on experience with data center technologies and backup solutions
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
- Knowledge of scripting languages
- Experience with tools and systems such as FortiGate, Juniper QFX, Aruba, Arista, VMware (vSphere, Horizon), Pure Storage, and Optical Networks
- ITIL and ISO 27000 knowledge (certifications are a plus)
