Network Security Engineer - CISCO ACI

We’re seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer with a strong background in Cisco ACI and automation to join our hybrid team in Utrecht. You’ll play a key role in both day-to-day network operations and strategic project delivery, helping to maintain and evolve a secure, high-performing enterprise network.

What you’ll do:

• Manage and support complex Cisco ACI infrastructures, ensuring high availability and optimal performance
• Contribute to network integrations, migrations, and upgrades across data centre environments
• Implement network automation using Ansible, streamlining deployment and configuration processes
• Oversee network security, including segmentation, policy enforcement, and traffic control within ACI
• Perform change management activities and ensure compliance with operational standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, providing escalation support when needed
• Participate in a standby rotation (1 week every 7 weeks) to support critical incidents
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement secure, scalable network solutions

What we’re looking for:

• Proven hands-on experience with Cisco ACI and related Cisco networking technologies
• Strong understanding of network security principles, including firewalls, segmentation, and access control
• Proficiency in Ansible or other network automation tools
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, collaborative approach
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
