Data & Digital Specialist Lab Automation - 6722
We are looking for an analytically minded Data and Digital Specialist to strengthen our scientific operations through digital transformation and data optimization. In this role, you will be responsible for improving data workflows, streamlining digital processes, and ensuring implementation of FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) data principles across our laboratory and operational systems.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the interface of data, technology, and science, supporting innovation and efficiency in a highly regulated environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Analyze and optimize digital workflows and data pipelines across scientific and operational functions.
- Implement and promote FAIR data principles, ensuring high-quality, accessible, and compliant data.
- Collaborate with scientists, IT experts, and data governance teams to design efficient, automated processes.
- Support the integration and maintenance of digital tools, such as LIMS, ELN, or data management platforms.
- Identify and drive digitalization opportunities to enhance lab productivity and data traceability.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with GxP and internal data governance standards.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users on digital tools and workflows.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum Master’s degree in a quantitative scientific or technical discipline (e.g., Data Science, Bioinformatics, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar).
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in data management, workflow optimization, or digitalization within a scientific, laboratory, or GMP-regulated environment.
- Proven experience in implementing or maintaining FAIR data principles and digital data governance frameworks, process analysis, and product ownership
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of data processing and analytics tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Power BI).
- Experience with data integration systems, SLIMS, LIMS, ELN, data management systems, and lab automation
- Familiarity with automation tools and digital workflow platforms.
Soft Skills
- Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proactive, self-driven, and organized working style.
- English fluent speaker with German and French nice to have
