Product Designer

Flightradar24 is one of Stockholm’s most successful growth-stage tech companies, with over 5 million daily users across our mobile and web platforms, 100+ million app downloads, and the #1 flight tracker app in the world.

We are now looking for a passionate Product Designer who excels at both interaction and visual design. As part of a small design team, you will work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and other stakeholders to create amazing flight-tracking features for millions of highly engaged app and website users.

What You’ll Do

• Be responsible for all design stages from concept to launch
• Take broad conceptual ideas and turn them into user-friendly and appealing Android, iOS and website features. Apply design concepts and ensure consistency between all Flightradar24 platforms
• Create wireframes, user flows, and prototypes to communicate design ideas.
• Together with other design team members establish and promote design guidelines
• Drive innovation by following design trends
• Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the company. This includes development teams as well as company leaders
• The role will involve a balance of creative projects as well as ensuring consistency through recurring design tasks
  
  
  

Who You Are

• 3+ years of professional proven experience as a designer with a portfolio that includes both mobile apps and websites
• Excellent visual design and user experience design skills
• Detail-focused with experience in creating wireframes, prototypes and user flows.
• Experience writing HTML/CSS code will be prioritized
• Familiar with Material Design, Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines, and modern web trends.
• Comfortable with design tools - and bonus points if you know HTML/CSS.
• A clear communicator who enjoys collaborating across teams.
• Passionate about creating user-centered experiences - and maybe even about aviation or travel (that’s a big plus).
• Experience in user research, video editing, or content creation is a plus.

Flightradar24 started as a hobby project in 2006 when two Swedish aviation geeks decided to build a network of ADS-B receivers in Northern and Central Europe. In 2009 we opened up the network, and made it possible for anyone with an ADS-B receiver to upload data to the network. Many parts of the world were quickly covered, but the quest to provide global ADS-B coverage is still ongoing.
