Backend Developer – Hybrid / On-site

Join a major national digital transformation programme driving the future of real estate regulation in the UAE. As Backend Developer, you’ll build scalable microservices and APIs that power end-to-end digital processes, from escrow management to title deed issuance.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining backend services in a cloud-native environment. Working closely with frontend, blockchain, and SAP integration teams, you’ll ensure data flows securely and efficiently across a modular microservices architecture.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Build and maintain Node.js microservices for key modules such as Off-Plan Sales and Escrow Management.

• Develop RESTful and GraphQL APIs for internal and external integrations.

• Containerize and orchestrate services using Docker and Kubernetes on AWS/Azure.

• Integrate with systems like SAP S/4HANA, UAE Pass, and Payment Gateways.

• Design robust data models and asynchronous workflows using Kafka or RabbitMQ.

• Implement authentication, authorization, and API security best practices.

• Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines and code reviews within an Agile team.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• 3+ years of backend development experience, with strong Node.js (Express.js, NestJS).

• Experience with microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Proficiency in REST/GraphQL APIs, SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or event-driven systems.

• Experience with OAuth2, JWT, and secure API integration.

• Exposure to SAP or blockchain systems is an advantage.
