Civil & Sitework Construction (New York City)

• Salary: Up to $100,000 + Car Allowance + Full Benefits + 401(k) Match
• Location: Bronx, NY (Projects Across the Five Boroughs)

A well-established New York City-based civil and site-work contractor, with over 50 years of experience and annual revenues exceeding $85 million, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join their expanding team. The company operates across multiple divisions including Site and civil construction delivering complex public and private infrastructure projects across NYC.

This position will initially support a $10 million project with opportunities for long-term growth and advancement within a dynamic and reputable organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in coordinating and managing daily project operations for civil and sitework projects.
• Support project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress reports.
• Interface with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth communication and workflow.
• Maintain and update project schedules, budgets, and cost tracking systems.
• Conduct site visits, track progress, and help ensure work meets NYC and NYSDOT standards.
• Participate in progress meetings and support the preparation of project billing cycles.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years’ experience in project engineering or assistant project management within municipal civil work, experience working with DOT or NYC parks is preffered but not essential
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
