Data Scientist (Contract-to-Hire)


Location: Texas (Dallas or Houston Preferred)


The Role


We seek an innovative Data Scientist to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic business goals. You'll use strong analytical skills to build predictive and prescriptive models that optimize business outcomes.


Key Responsibilities


  • Data Analysis & Modeling: Collect, analyze, wrangle, and manipulate large data sets to build and implement robust predictive/prescriptive models and machine learning algorithms.
  • Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization across the business.
  • Collaboration: Partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders to propose data-driven solutions and clearly communicate complex findings to leadership.
  • Maintain & Innovate: Continuously monitor and update models, staying current with Cloud tools and LLMs.


Required Qualifications


  • Education: Bachelor's (4+ years experience) or Master's (2+ years experience) in Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Programming: Strong skills in Python or R, plus experience with Spark, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras.
  • Modeling: Proficiency in statistical analysis and machine learning techniques.
  • Databases: Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.


Preferred Skills


  • Experience building accelerated AI/ML utilities and modern techniques (e.g., Generative AI).
  • Knowledge of Cloud native tools and ops for AI/ML.
  • Background in the financial business (banking, insurance, or mortgage).
