Hotel Chief Operations Officer (COO) (can now be a Vice President of Hospitality Operations, Corporate Dir. of Operations or multi -unit General manager ).

The role is based in Egypt – Must have experience working in overseas preferably Europe and also the Middle East – Arabic Speaker a plus


Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly accomplished and Hotel Chief Operations Officer to oversee the operations of a premier hospitality and investment management group with a collection of luxury hotels located at beautiful beaches in Egypt. The ideal candidate currently holds a senior executive role such as Chief Operations Officer (COO), Vice President of Operations, or Corporate Director of Operations, and has a proven track record leading large, full-service luxury properties with multiple outlets and complex facilities.


The hotels offer a blend of luxury, comfort, and personalized service to leisure, family, and business travelers. With multiple large-scale properties, 15+ restaurants, and expansive indoor and outdoor facilities, this role demands a strategic, hands-on leader with deep operational expertise and a passion for excellence.


For this role, what matters most is that the candidate is hands-on, has been exposed beyond the hotel sector, and understand asset management, as our client owns not only hotels but also real estate, agricultural operations, and marine vessels.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee all hotel operations, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and excellence across all properties in the portfolio.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies that align with the group’s vision, financial objectives, and brand standards.
  • Drive guest satisfaction by maintaining exceptional service standards and personalized experiences throughout the guest journey.
  • Collaborate closely with GMs, department heads, and corporate teams to ensure alignment, accountability, and performance across properties.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), financials, and operational metrics to ensure profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Lead initiatives to optimize food & beverage operations, guest services, housekeeping, engineering, wellness, and recreational services.
  • Promote innovation, quality improvement, and best practices across all operational departments.
  • Provide strong leadership and mentorship, fostering a culture of engagement, empowerment, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations, sustainability programs, and local legislation.
  • Represent the group in key operational matters, strategic planning sessions, and external partnerships.


Candidate Profile:

  • Currently holds a senior executive operations role: COO, VP Operations, or Corporate Director of Operations in the hospitality industry.
  • Minimum 10–15 years of progressive hospitality leadership experience, including direct oversight of large, luxury, full-service properties or multi-property portfolios.
  • Deep understanding of luxury hospitality standards, guest experience delivery, and high-volume operations (including 10+ F&B outlets).
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large teams and complex hotel facilities.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and driving profitability.
  • Experience in resort operations, ideally with both leisure and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) components.
  • Middle East experience and Arabic language skills are highly desirable.
  • Must possess excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field; MBA or equivalent is an advantage.
