About The Role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior UX Designer / UI Designer to join our client’s team on a dynamic, six-month contract. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering a new insurance program, focusing on creating seamless, accessible, and user-centered digital experiences. This role is primarily remote, with occasional travel to London approximately once every few months. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in UX design within the insurance or financial services sectors, with a strong proficiency in Figma for creating wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes. Your expertise will contribute to the development of end-to-end design solutions that meet global accessibility standards and enhance user satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a UX Designer or UI Designer, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Strong proficiency in Figma for designing wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes.
  • Solid understanding of end-to-end UX design processes, including user research, journey mapping, and usability testing.
  • Knowledge of global accessibility standards and best practices to ensure inclusive design.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Based in the UK, with the right to work and travel within the country.

Responsibilities

The Senior UX Designer / UI Designer will be responsible for leading the end-to-end design process for the new insurance program. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting user research and gathering requirements to inform design decisions.
  • Creating wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes using Figma to visualize design concepts.
  • Developing user journeys and personas to ensure designs are user-centric and aligned with business goals.
  • Collaborating with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to deliver cohesive and accessible user experiences.
  • Ensuring all designs adhere to global accessibility standards and best practices.
  • Participating in usability testing and iterating designs based on user feedback and analytics.
  • Documenting design specifications and maintaining design systems for consistency across platforms.
  • Supporting the implementation phase by providing guidance and clarifications to development teams.
