This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an AI Automation Engineer in Latin America.

In this role, you will design, build, and deploy AI-powered solutions that accelerate software development processes and optimize internal workflows. You will work across engineering, DevOps, and product teams to identify opportunities for automation, integrate intelligent agents, and develop tools that improve developer productivity and product delivery. This position is fully remote, with occasional collaboration across time zones, offering a highly autonomous environment. You will experiment with emerging AI technologies, lead the adoption of scalable workflows, and turn innovative concepts into tangible operational improvements. Your work will directly enhance efficiency, quality, and speed across multiple engineering teams, shaping the way AI is applied internally.

Accountabilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy LLM-powered tools, AI agents, and automation workflows to improve engineering productivity
  • Identify high-impact automation opportunities by collaborating with cross-functional teams to uncover bottlenecks and inefficiencies
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure successful adoption of AI-powered tools, provide guidance, and gather feedback for continuous improvement
  • Participate in architecture and design decisions to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable
  • Contribute to building an internal AI knowledge base and experiment with emerging frameworks and technologies
  • Mentor teams on AI integration and automation best practices, driving consistency across engineering processes


Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or ML engineering with a proven track record of end-to-end technical ownership
  • Strong programming skills in Python, with experience designing, building, and deploying production-grade services or tools
  • Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals, including data preparation, model training, evaluation, and embeddings
  • Hands-on experience integrating APIs and designing scalable automation workflows
  • Knowledge or hands-on experience with LLMs and applied AI frameworks (e.g., OpenAI, LangChain, Hugging Face)
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to define roadmaps and align technical work with business objectives
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Autonomy, initiative, and the ability to lead projects without step-by-step guidance
  • Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Proven English fluency for effective collaboration across distributed teams
