The Regional PLM has the unique responsibility to communicate BBD’s value proposition to external audiences while simultaneously being the ‘voice of the customer’ for internal audiences. In other words, he/she will spread the good news about the product line in parallel to helping the development team improve perception through new products and features. This position requires both technical know-how and commercial savvy. The ultimate goal of PLM is to grow the awareness and market share of the BBD product lines measured by revenue and margin. The candidate shall have a strong record of accomplishment with building relationships and formal presentations. Working in the CSP and Enterprise market categories, this person will be tasked with creating new business opportunities for existing products or defining new products and/or markets that are worthy of new investment or priority.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
- Evangelize the product roadmap and product strategy to parties both internally and externally; create sales presentation, share product details, and demonstrate capabilities
- Ownership of the go-to-market strategy and communication to the organization around each new product introduction (devices) and on-going feature enhancements (SaaS)
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for responsible product line(s). Provide product expertise to customers directly.
- Forge and maintain relationships with strategic partners both internally and externally
- Develop and deliver concise and meaningful presentations, including education and training of sales staff, training of support groups, train the trainer programs, and presentations at symposia, trade shows, and key customer accounts
- Work closely with Regional Business Leads and Customer Teams to provide explanation and demonstration of the product line’s value proposition and capabilities
- Responsible for project level P&L on a case-by-case basis. Support RFP responses as necessary.
- Assist with the growth of the product line measured by revenue, market share, and business expansion
- Work closely with Marketing to drive the execution of promotional campaigns and assets to launch and sustain the product line, including interactive, public relations, analyst relations, and social media
- Exhibit deep knowledge of market conditions supported by 3rd party market research and technical understanding supported by R&D analysis
- Technically savvy with a prominent level of interest and awareness in broadband technologies and CPE market, including fiber, FWA, and WiFi product categories
- To create strong and lasting relationships with business development and sales team as well as with customers themselves
- Formal presentations and stage presence; the ability to create compelling presentations and demonstrate technical product concepts to a live audience
- Organization of information and ability to create compelling sales materials to excite the audience and meet customers’ expectations
- An energetic individual who has demonstrates an ability to energize others when presented with difficult circumstances
- Formal education with focus on Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, or relevant field
- 6+ years of related work experience within relevant markets, such as telco, CSP, consumer electronics, etc.
- Domestic and international travel is required.
