Freelance Project Manager - Process Automation for Energy Production

For a global customer in Brussels, I am searching for a freelance Project Manager to lead several projects focusing on process automation for energy production.

Responsibilities

• Leading the project team, establishing the project execution approach, and overseeing planning, monitoring and control activities for internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.
• Monitoring and controlling project progress, efficient resource utilization, and project financials.
• Identifying, qualifying, quantifying, managing project risk, and ensuring all opportunities are identified and pursued.
• Driving the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer, all in accordance with the contract.

Profile

• A degree in Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of experience in Project Management, preferably in the chemical industry, energy or pharma domain with a strong focus on Process Automation.
• Experience working for a major automation vendor is a bonus but not a hard requirement.
• Proven ability to manage project scope, budgets, timelines, and coordination with vendors/subcontractors.
• Fluent in French, Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• A collaborative, solution-oriented mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

ONSITE POLICY: 3 days per week

HOURS PER WEEK: 40
