Java Architect

In this role, you will have the opportunity to: 

• Contribute to the development of complex information systems and help build sustainable and secure solutions for Estonia’s e-government. 
• Design and implement system architecture solutions in collaboration with other architects and development teams. 
• Develop and maintain Java applications and microservices. 
• Lead the resolution of technical issues and support junior developers. 
• Ensure code quality through testing (unit tests, integration tests, and code reviews). 
• Participate in service design and analytics teams in the implementation of ideas. 
• Optimize system performance, security, and scalability. 
• Contribute to the adoption of best practices in the development process (CI/CD, DevOps, Agile). 
• Document architectural and technical solutions as well as development decisions. 

Our expectations of you: 

• At least 3 years of experience as an information systems architect. 
• Project experience with relational databases and high-availability (clustered) system solutions. 
• Experience in developing and integrating REST services. 
• Experience in creating authentication and authorization solutions based on OAuth and SAML. 
• Practical experience in developing microservice-based architectures and machine interfaces. 
• Experience with Kubernetes (including container management). 
• Excellent command of Estonian and English. 

We value if you have: 

• Previous experience in developing national information systems and knowledge of the principles of X-Road and the Government Cloud. 
• Interest in applying AI solutions. 
• Higher education in IT.
