Senior Data Scientist
Our client is a leading financial services organisation in Ireland, undergoing an exciting period of growth and transformation. They are investing heavily in data and analytics to drive smarter, faster, and more strategic decision-making across the business.
The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join the commercial analytics team. In this role, you’ll lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced pricing models and analytical processes. You’ll play a key part in shaping data strategy, driving profitability and growth through data-led insights, and supporting cross-functional teams with analytical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement pricing and analytical models to support business strategy and growth.
- Lead the design and improvement of data-driven pricing processes and tools.
- Build, maintain, and communicate data visualisations and reports to stakeholders.
- Deliver actionable insights through statistical modelling, forecasting, and segmentation.
- Provide analytical support on pricing and commercial initiatives across the business.
- Manage ad-hoc analytical requests and projects from end to end.
About You:
- Degree in Engineering, Science, Statistics, Actuarial Studies or a related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in a pricing or analytical role, ideally within financial services.
- Strong experience with statistical modelling and predictive analytics (e.g. regression, forecasting, segmentation, ML techniques).
- Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and Excel; experience with data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong mathematical background with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex data insights clearly.
- Proven ability to manage projects and deliver high-quality analytical outputs to deadlines.
