You'll work on cutting-edge container and Kubernetes technologies, driving innovation and scalability for complex enterprise environments. As a Senior or Principal Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing high-impact cloud-native solutions while collaborating with multiple global engineering teams. You'll work on cutting-edge container and Kubernetes technologies, driving innovation and scalability for complex enterprise environments. This position offers the opportunity to influence architectural decisions, contribute to open-source communities, and help shape future product releases. Accountabilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and enhancement of advanced computing, networking, and security solutions within a large-scale cloud ecosystem
- Actively contribute to open-source projects, particularly in the Kubernetes and container space, using Go (Golang) and Python
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams — including architecture, product management, and DevOps — to identify and prioritize new features
- Participate in peer code reviews, continuous integration (CI) processes, and quality assurance efforts to maintain high development standards
- Drive feature development across upstream Kubernetes, midstream OKD, and downstream OpenShift environments
- Engage with key open-source communities to influence project direction and ensure strong alignment with customer needs
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) to optimize coding efficiency and quality
- Proven expertise in Go (Golang) and deep knowledge of cloud-native development principles
- Strong background in Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- In-depth understanding of AWS services including EC2, VPC, Load Balancers, IAM, and CloudFormation
- Experience in technical leadership or architecture roles, balancing functionality, performance, and scalability
- Proficiency in collaborative, agile environments with strong written and verbal communication in English
- Familiarity with Python, Bash, or managed Kubernetes services (ROSA, EKS, etc.) is a plus
- Experience engaging with customers or partners as a technical advisor or product advocate is advantageous
