Senior Product Manager, Consumer Finance (m/f/d)

As Senior Product Manager in the Consumer Finance Domain of the Product Organisation, the role will be functionally reporting to the Product Management Lead and will collaborate closely with engineering, design, risk, compliance, operations, data, and commercial teams to roll out consumer finance products across key markets.
The role has dual responsibility:
The role will act as an expert and strategic partner to leadership in consumer finance space and will bring sharp insights into the market landscape (loans, credit in checkout and more) to inform decisions and roadmap delivery.
In addition, the role takes on responsibility to oversee governance and reporting (to the regulator) on all aspects of product development lifecycle, and specifically the Bank’s risk engine, including all Risk Processing Services.
Required skills and Experience:
Product Domain Ownership:
- Product Ownership: Lead a defined area of the consumer finance & lending product roadmap, ensuring client and customer focus
- Collaboration with Tech & Design: Work closely with engineering and design teams to shape solutions that are both user-friendly and technically scalable.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Coordinate with risk, compliance, operations, data, and product line stakeholders to deliver holistically designed solutions.
- Go-to-Market Support: Partner with sales, marketing, and product growth teams to enable effective rollouts, internal readiness, and customer education.
- Insights-driven prioritization: Use customer feedback, market research, and data insights to guide prioritization, set goals, and refine product direction.
- Governance and Reporting of Risk Processing Services & Supporting Capabilities towards the regulator, covering Bank’s risk engine (including support of development and operations), workflow development support, provision of internal data services, and support of user interface development for steering.
- Governance and Reporting on End-to-End Product Lifecycle Management towards the regulator, ensuring all product teams follow structured approach to product launch approvals and ongoing governance of all stages of product lifecycle. The role will closely work with product leads of different domains.
- 6+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years in consumer finance, lending, or related financial domains.
- Experience working directly with regulators on product governance and reporting is highly preferred.
- Experience working on German market on consumer finance products is highly recommended, but not mandatory.
- Proven track record of shipping customer-facing products in regulated financial services.
- Comfortable operating as an individual contributor and expert in a senior-level capacity, with opportunities to grow further.
- Strong ability to balance customer needs with compliance, risk, and business priorities.
- Experience collaborating with engineering and architecture teams on technical topics (APIs, integrations, scalability).
- Excellent stakeholder management and ability to align across functions and geographies.
- Strong product discovery and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to influence without authority.
