Role Description

The Senior Project Manager leads complex, high-impact projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy, timelines, and budgets. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, coordinating stakeholders, mitigating risks, and ensuring quality deliverables. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking, leadership, and excellent communication skills to drive project success and operational efficiency in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end project planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery across multiple departments or business units.
  • Develop detailed project plans including scope, timelines, resource allocation, budgets, and risk assessments.
  • Manage and mentor cross-functional project teams to ensure collaboration, accountability, and performance.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Track project progress, prepare status reports, and communicate updates to senior stakeholders and executives.
  • Oversee vendor management, procurement, and contract negotiations when applicable.
  • Implement and enforce project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches) to ensure consistent execution.
  • Drive process improvements and continuous optimization initiatives to enhance project delivery.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations, lessons-learned sessions, and documentation to support future projects.
  • Ensure all projects comply with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
  • Facilitate change management and support organizational adoption of new systems or processes.
  • Coordinate and resolve project-related conflicts, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
  • Prepare executive presentations and communicate key project outcomes and insights.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8–12 years of progressive project management experience, with at least 4 years in a senior or leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, complex projects successfully.
  • Strong knowledge of project management tools (Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, Smartsheet, or similar).
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or PMI-ACP certification is highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience managing budgets, financial reporting, and resource planning.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., German, French) are a plus.
