IT Engineer – Systems & Network (100%)

Start: January 2026 or upon availability

We are looking for an IT Engineer with solid experience in Linux systems and network

technologies to support and enhance two critical applications related to the aeronautical sector.

Both systems are essential 24/7 operational services requiring high availability, reliability, and precision.

Your Mission

You will join a multidisciplinary technical team to strengthen its capacity on the AMS-CH and WDES platforms. Initially, your focus will be on RUN activities (operations, analysis, troubleshooting) and progressively on system improvements, integrations, and testing.

Your Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Linux-based systems running 24x7x365
• Analyse and resolve operational incidents, particularly on the network layer
• Use Wireshark and other diagnostic tools to trace and interpret network messages
• Manage IP addressing, firewall configurations, and network routing
• Contribute to test definition, execution, and documentation
• Support integration and validation of new software versions provided by suppliers
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with technical and operational requirements
• Maintain detailed system documentation (requirements, test reports, operational guides)
• Optional: support automation and scripting tasks using Python

Your Profile

• Degree in IT, Telecommunications, or a related field
• 3–6 years of experience as an IT Engineer, System Engineer, or Network Engineer
• Strong knowledge of Linux, shell scripting, and IP networking
• Understanding of virtual IP addressing, routing, and firewalls
• Familiarity with containerization technologies Kubernetes is a strong advantage
• Knowledge of test automation or Python scripting is a plus
• Precise, structured, and analytical working style with strong documentation skills
• Fluent in English (B2+); German is a plus
