Role Description
This is an unpaid, fully remote volunteer role for a strategic and hands-on Project Manager / NGO Manager.You will be at the heart of our early-stage development, translating vision into actionable plans and ensuring our key initiatives are executed effectively. This role is ideal for a proactive leader passionate about building systems, optimizing processes, and driving tangible impact from conception to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Project Management
- Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of key organizational projects (e.g., pilot program launches, awareness campaigns, fundraising initiatives).
- Develop project charters, timelines, and work plans to ensure goals are met on schedule and within scope.
- Identify potential risks and bottlenecks, and implement proactive solutions to keep projects on track.
Operational Coordination & Process Building
- Establish and refine foundational NGO processes, including volunteer onboarding, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Act as a central hub, coordinating efforts between marketing, partnership, and program development teams.
- Manage project documentation, track progress against KPIs, and report on outcomes to leadership.
Stakeholder & Resource Management
- Support the coordination and delegation of tasks within our volunteer team, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
- Assist in managing relationships with key stakeholders, including partners and vendors, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Help optimize the allocation of limited resources for maximum efficiency and impact.
Qualifications
- Proven Project Leadership: Experience in managing projects from start to finish, demonstrating strong organizational and planning skills.
- Operational Mindset: Ability to build structure from ambiguity, create efficient processes, and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Communication & Influence: Excellent interpersonal skills to coordinate teams, communicate updates, and manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
- Self-Driven & Adaptable: Comfort taking initiative and working independently in a remote, fast-paced startup setting with limited supervision.
- Passion for Impact: Deep interest in child protection, human rights, or non-profit work.
- Bonus Skills: Experience with project management tools (Asana, Trello, clickups.), NGO operations, grant reporting, or volunteer management.
