Journal Post Group is seeking a Senior Game Designer (Hyper-Casual) to join our expanding gaming division to work remotely from Istanbul!

As a Game Designer, you will:

• Conceptualize and design hyper-casual mobile games with simple yet engaging mechanics

• Collaborate closely with developers, artists, and product teams to bring ideas to life

• Create clear and detailed game design documents (GDDs), flowcharts, and level designs

• Analyze gameplay data, player behavior, and retention metrics to refine core loops

• Prototype gameplay ideas quickly and iterate based on feedback and testing

• Research top-performing hyper-casual titles to identify trends, patterns, and new opportunities

• Balance creativity with analytics to ensure games are both fun and commercially successful

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Game Design, Game Development, Computer Science, or a related field

• 5+ years of experience in mobile game design, preferably within the hyper-casual or casual genre

• Strong understanding of player psychology, retention loops, and monetization strategies

• Excellent documentation and communication skills for presenting ideas clearly

• Proficiency in prototyping tools such as Unity, Figma, or equivalent platforms

• A data-driven mindset with a keen sense of what makes a game “fun” and viral

• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving, and experimental environment
