About the Role

Drive the organization’s data strategy, oversee complex BI projects, and deliver actionable insights to influence high-level decision-making. Serve as a key advisor to leadership, mentor junior analysts, and spearhead innovations in data processes and analytics frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement related to risk management
• Design, build, and optimize complex dashboards, reports, and data models using BI tools (e.g., Metabase) related to risk management
• Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Airflow, dbt and SQL
• Providing data to risk teams across various business lines to support operational and managerial decision-making regarding risk management
• Monitor and maintain data quality, ensuring accuracy and consistency across systems
• Analyzing various business metrics, identifying trends and dynamics, to detect anomalies and their causes
• Conduct in-depth analyses to uncover opportunities, trends, and risks, delivering clear recommendations to stakeholders
• Ensuring the monitoring and detection of various types of fraud in iGambling
• Conducting analytics of fraudulent schemes, creating customer profiling and segmentation, with the goal of preventing high-risk scenarios
• Conducting post-implementation analysis of the effectiveness of fraud detection and counteraction functionality
• Developing the library of risk metrics and investigating their relationship with the company's business metrics
• Oversee the maintenance and optimization of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior and mid-level BI analysts, fostering team growth and development

Key Qualifications

• University degree in Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics or a related fields
• At least four years of experience in a relevant position (iGaming, online products, e-commerce)
• Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze large datasets, knowledge in data discovering methodology
• Understanding of metrics related to online business (risk, web, product, CRM, general financial)
• Experience with risk analysis is a strong plus
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and modeling
• Experience with dbt for data transformations
• Hands-on experience with Airflow for pipeline orchestration
• Proficiency in Python or R for advanced analytics and automation
• Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional initiatives
• Experience with Tableau and other BI instruments
• Upper-Intermediate English and Russian (spoken and written)
• Excellent presentation skills to effectively communicate insights to technical and non-technical audiences
• Knowledge of data governance and regulatory compliance frameworks
