Role Overview

The Railway Systems Expert will lead and oversee the Testing & Commissioning (T&C) of high-speed railway systems, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient integration of critical subsystems such as Signaling, Automatic Train Control (ATC), Telecommunications, and SCADA. The role requires strong technical leadership, coordination with contractors, and performance oversight to ensure readiness for operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all T&C activities for high-speed rail systems, including:
• Signaling
• Automatic Train Control (ATC)
• Telecommunications
• SCADA
• Develop and implement T&C strategies, schedules, and procedures in alignment with project milestones.
• Ensure all testing activities comply with international safety and quality standards.
• Evaluate and monitor contractor performance during T&C phases.
• Oversee system integration testing and interface validation across subsystems.
• Coordinate with DB contractors, systems suppliers, and operations teams to ensure seamless handover.
• Review and approve T&C documentation including test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Support safety certification and RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety) processes.
• Advise on asset management strategies and long-term system optimization.
  

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in railway systems engineering, with a focus on Testing & Commissioning.
• Strong understanding of high-speed rail systems and infrastructure.
• Proven ability to manage complex contractor relationships and evaluate technical performance.
• Experience in reviewing technical documentation and systems integration plans.
• Effective communicator with cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of international safety standards and performance frameworks.
