The IT Executive is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the institution’s IT systems, networks, and digital learning infrastructure. The role ensures smooth day-to-day technical operations, supports staff and students with IT issues, and contributes to technology-based initiatives that enhance teaching, learning, and administration.
1. IT Systems & Network Management
Maintain and troubleshoot all IT systems, including servers, computers, printers, and network devices.
Ensure stable internet connectivity and LAN/Wi-Fi performance across the education center.
Install, configure, and update hardware, software, and antivirus protection.
Conduct regular system backups and maintain data security protocols.
Provide first-line technical support to staff, trainers, and students.
Manage IT helpdesk requests, resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Support the setup of online learning platforms, smart classrooms, and multimedia equipment.
Administer and support Learning Management Systems (LMS), student portals, and other e-learning tools.
Coordinate with academic teams to integrate new digital tools or software for education delivery.
Provide training sessions to faculty and staff on digital tools, classroom technologies, and best practices.
Maintain an updated inventory of IT assets and licenses.
Assist in purchasing new hardware/software as per approved budgets.
Liaise with external vendors for system upgrades, maintenance, and repairs.
Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures to protect institutional data.
Ensure compliance with IT policies, data protection laws, and institutional standards.
Conduct periodic system audits and report findings to management.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Minimum 2–4 years of IT support or systems administration experience (preferably in the education sector).
Strong knowledge of network management, Windows & MS Office 365 administration.
Familiarity with LMS is an advantage.
Experience with audiovisual systems and classroom technology preferred.
