We re looking for an experienced HSE Manager to take the lead on health, safety, and environmental management for a data centre construction project in Norway. This is a full-time, on-site position, offered on either a permanent or contract basis.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance are maintained throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with project leadership and our client partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all HSE activities on site, ensuring compliance with Norwegian regulations and MiCiM’s HSE management systems
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments, driving proactive safety performance
- Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific HSE plans and procedures
- Provide coaching and leadership to site teams, promoting a strong safety culture
- Oversee toolbox talks, inductions, training, and incident/near-miss investigations
- Liaise with client HSE representatives, subcontractors, and local authorities
Requirements:
- Recognised HSE qualification (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent)
- Proven experience managing HSE on large-scale construction projects (data centre experience an advantage)
- Strong knowledge of Norwegian HSE legislation and best practice
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Fluent in English and Norwegian
