PASQAL designs and develops Quantum Processing Units (QPUs) and associated software tools.
Our innovative technology enables us to address use cases that are currently beyond the reach of the most powerful supercomputers; these cases can concern industrial application challenges as well as fundamental science needs.
In addition to the exceptional computing power they provide, QPUs are highly energy efficient and will contribute to a significant reduction in the carbon footprint of the HPC industry.

Job Description

As product manager, you will shape the future of our open-source Pulser quantum computing library and the surrounding ecosystem. Pulser allows one to submit quantum computing jobs to our neutral-atom QPU’s.

Using pulser, one can define the position of the atoms in the QPU and design pulse sequences to execute quantum algorithms. Pulser thereby forms the foundation on which the rest of our software stack is build. In order to test pulse sequences before submitting them to the QPU, Pulser also provides the option to emulate quantum experiments on a classical computer.

With Pulser being used to support both Pasqal's internal research activities but also the external quantum community at large, your prioritization skills will be tested. You will represent our internal and external users, create alignment between stakeholders, and take the lead in implementing product management processes to ensure a smooth operation of the development within and across the involved development teams.

By defining a clear product vision and roadmap, you will be able to make an positive impact on the overall company product quality.

You will be joining a dynamic team of product managers led by the VP product, who reports directly to the co-CEO of the company. You will also collaborate closely with our quantum libraries team of which the Qadence developers are members.

Your missions and responsibilities will include:

• Owner of the Pulser product vision and roadmap
• Discovery of user needs
• Create alignment between stakeholders on the roadmap
• Define clear interfaces with other components of the software stack
• Contribute to the creation of a coherent software stack
• Execution of roadmap and prioritization of development tasks
• Implementation of product management processes
• Provide context and guidance, empower your team to have impactful results
• Ensure creation of proper documentation

About you

Hard skills:

• MSc in physics, computer engineering or related field.
• + 3 years product management experience
• Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies to improve cross-team collaboration and product delivery
• Experience with open-source software is a big plus
• Experience in quantum computing is a big plus.

Soft skills:

• Excellent communication skills
• Professional proficiency in English (Proficiency in French is a bonus)
• Team player, versatile, organized, pro-active, autonomous and creative
