Chief BI Analyst

We are inviting applications for the role of Chief BI Analyst.

This position offers the opportunity to influence data strategy and drive business intelligence projects across the organization. You will work with innovative analytics technologies and engage with skilled teammates in a collaborative setting

Responsibilities

• Review organizational KPIs and metrics using client Power BI semantic models, establish methods for calculations, and monitor data flow from the warehouse to Power BI
• Work closely with client representatives, including BI experts and business analysts, to document formulas and set aggregation criteria for company KPIs
• Define data transformation specifications for the EPAM data engineering team to deliver KPIs and metrics in the gold layer of the data platform
• Revamp and enhance Power BI semantic models to integrate enterprise KPIs and metrics from the data platform
• Partner with the client’s data architect to create data models for the gold layer of the platform

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline
• A minimum of seven years’ experience in business intelligence or a similar field
• At least two years in a supervisory or leadership role, with the capacity to guide teams, shape project outcomes, encourage best practices, and uphold quality standards
• Experience in at least two full-cycle project deliveries or participation in multiple projects at various development stages
• Advanced Power BI skills
• Background in data warehouse (DWH) environments
• Strong capability in KPI assessment
• Excellent analytical and teamwork abilities
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
