Job Title: Scrum Master / Agile Project Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a Scrum Master / Agile Project Manager with a strong understanding of Agile methodologies, project governance, and risk management frameworks to drive successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will be experienced in healthcare domain projects, possess expertise in JIRA, and demonstrate excellent stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills.

The role involves leading Agile ceremonies, ensuring delivery excellence, managing RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies), and embedding quality and governance processes throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management Methodology
Apply deep understanding of Agile delivery models and other project management methodologies.
Define and manage program plans, release plans, and sprint schedules in alignment with business goals.
Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to establish clear sprint goals and priorities.
Ensure effective planning, execution, and monitoring of sprints and releases.
Sprint Planning & Execution
Review and prioritize backlog items based on value, urgency, and dependencies.
Collaborate with teams and product owners to define sprint goals aligned with project objectives.
Facilitate effort estimation (story points, hours) and manage team capacity planning.
Break down epics and user stories into manageable tasks with defined acceptance criteria.
Ensure alignment on dependencies, blockers, and sprint commitments.
Foster focus and accountability to meet sprint goals within defined timelines.
Risk Management (RAID Framework)
Identify, assess, and manage project risks using structured methods like brainstorming, SWOT analysis, and risk assessments.
Develop and implement mitigation and contingency plans for critical risks.
Communicate risks, mitigation strategies, and updates to stakeholders promptly.
Integrate risk management activities into project planning and execution to ensure proactive issue resolution.
Status Reporting
Establish a structured weekly reporting process to capture updates from various workstreams.
Report project status, progress, future plans, dependencies, and key risks to stakeholders.
Enable proactive decision-making by escalating issues and dependencies early.
Ensure transparency and consistency in communication across leadership and delivery teams.
Governance
Implement project governance frameworks, processes, and policies to ensure accountability and compliance.
Adhere to established decision-making protocols, communication cadences, and compliance standards.
Maintain alignment with legal, regulatory, and ethical project requirements.
Facilitate governance meetings and ensure adherence to delivery standards and SLAs.
Quality Management
Embed quality assurance practices throughout all Agile phases — from planning to delivery.
Promote Agile quality principles, focusing on customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and delivery of working software.
Define and monitor quality metrics (e.g., defect density, code coverage, performance benchmarks).
Support CI/CD processes, ensuring automated testing and continuous validation of deliverables.
Facilitate retrospectives to drive improvement in quality and process efficiency.
Gather customer and stakeholder feedback regularly to enhance delivery outcomes.

Required Skills & Experience

7–10 years of total experience in Project / Program Management, including 3+ years as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and Project Management frameworks.
Expertise in using JIRA or similar Agile management tools.
Proven experience in RAID management, status reporting, and governance setup.
Experience working in healthcare domain projects preferred.
Strong facilitation, collaboration, and communication skills across cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills

Scrum Master Certification (CSM/PSM) or Agile Project Management Certification (PMI-ACP).
Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile quality automation.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance in healthcare IT projects.
