Junior .NET Core Engineer

Location: Warrington (onsite)

Salary: £28,000 – £35,000

Overview

My client is a well-established technology-led business looking to grow its in-house development team. They’re now hiring a Junior .NET Core Engineer who’s eager to build on their existing commercial experience and develop their skills in a supportive, hands-on environment.

This role will suit someone with around a year’s experience in software development who wants to deepen their knowledge of modern .NET, learn from experienced engineers, and get exposure to full-stack projects.

What you’ll be doing

• Build and maintain web applications using C# and .NET Core
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code
• Support integration with SQL databases
• Collaborate with senior engineers and contribute to team discussions
• Learn and contribute across the stack, including exposure to React and front-end development

Tech stack

• C#, .NET Core
• SQL Server
• React (or similar modern JavaScript framework)
• Azure DevOps and CI/CD exposure is a bonus

Who we’re looking for

• Around 1+ year of commercial experience in software development
• Strong foundation in C# and .NET Core
• Understanding of SQL and relational databases
• Enthusiastic about learning new technologies and improving your skills
• Strong communicator and team player
