Peoplebank is seeking a talented UI/UX Developer to join a growing, forward-thinking technology team based in North Sydney. This role offers the opportunity to design and develop modern, responsive, and visually engaging user interfaces that directly enhance the customer experience across a suite of digital products.

You’ll work across the full UI/UX lifecycle — from user research and wireframing through to front-end development and component delivery — using React and Material UI to create sleek, performant, and scalable applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement user interfaces that are intuitive, responsive, and aligned with modern UX best practices.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver seamless, user-focused solutions.
  • Conduct user research, create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to communicate interaction and design ideas.
  • Upgrade and modernise existing applications to the latest versions of React and Material UI.
  • Ensure accessibility, consistency, and performance across browsers and devices.
  • Contribute to the design system and component library to drive reusability and maintainability.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve delivery milestones.

About You

  • 3–5 years of experience in UI/UX design and front-end development.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with React.js, JavaScript, and Material UI.
  • Experience upgrading or migrating legacy UI applications.
  • Solid understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Familiarity with UX research, usability testing, and design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
  • Exposure to TypeScript, Redux, RESTful APIs, and Git-based workflows.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • A self-starter mindset with a passion for quality, performance, and great design.

Why Apply?

  • Join a team committed to innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Opportunity to influence modern UI/UX direction and best practice adoption.
  • Work on high-impact, enterprise-grade applications in a supportive and agile environment.
  • North Sydney-based role with hybrid flexibility.
