About the roleWe’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with deep technical expertise in Golang, Java, and Ruby to help us scale our core systems and build robust, high-performance backend services. You’ll work closely with a small team of talented engineers but remain heavily hands-on — spending most of your time writing clean, scalable, and efficient code rather than managing people.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services powering our resident experience platform.
- Collaborate with product and frontend teams to deliver new features end-to-end.
- Ensure system scalability, reliability, and performance as we grow.
- Participate in architectural decisions and code reviews.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and implement long-term solutions.
- 7+ years of backend development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Golang and proficiency in Java and Ruby.
- Proven experience in designing distributed systems and APIs.
- Prior experience as a Tech Lead, with a passion for coding over people management.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar).
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
